Freelance Dancer - Movement Director - Performing Artist

Morgan Lugo, a dance artist, creative and movement director based in Antwerp and Paris, boasts a rich educational background from the North Carolina School of the Arts, SUNY Purchase College in New York, and Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan. With over a decade of professional experience, Morgan has performed extensively across the U.S. and Europe, performing for/collaborating with esteemed choreographers such as Pina Bausch, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Damien Jalet, Sidi Larbi Charkauoui, Crystal Pite, Akram Khan, Sharon Eyal, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Alain Platel, and Benjamin Millepied. Morgan was a founding member of L.A. Dance Project under the direction of Benjamin Millepied in 2012, contributing to a changing dance landscape in Los Angeles at the time. During his time with L.A.D.P., Morgan was immersed in non-traditional dance performances, exploring a diverse range of mediums including site-specific work, residencies, fashion and short films. With a knack for choreography and improvisation, Morgan has contributed to notable projects, including Boris Charmatz's performance at MoMA in NYC and a Paris Opera Ballet production in assistance of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui in 2019. Specializing in contemporary dance modalities, Morgan thrives in collaborative environments, bringing creativity and innovation to every project.
